How to get involved with the Shine School Media Awards 2026

Do you have a superstar student? The one who wants to start a podcast, or is always badgering you to join the ranks of your school magazine editorial team? Here’s the chance to give them – and their team – the recognition they deserve.

Planning for the Shine School Media Awards 2026 is ideal motivation for a media project within the curriculum or after school. We’ve heard time and again that the awards have helped promote literacy, enterprise, or building understanding around a specific topic, such as science or economics. It’s a great moment too: the new school year is the perfect time to begin.

Our competition is run by a charitable foundation in the City of London and is always free to enter. If you register with us today, we can provide guidance and encouragement from now til our entry deadline next May.

If your school already produces a newspaper, magazine or podcast, or you have students keen to get one started, the Shine School Media Awards could help give your students a leg up in a competitive world.

A self-initiated media project will help your students shine – and rise.

Best wishes,
